Predator in the Classroom: Jacob Wessel Charged Again Part 2
A disturbing pattern of institutional failure at Mooresville Christian Academy has finally come to light with the arrest of Jacob Wessel, a former robotics teacher now facing multiple charges involving minors. For years, school administrators ignored glaring red flags while Wessel allegedly groomed and victimized students right under their noses.
The earliest documented incident dates back to 2021, when Wessel reportedly showed pornography to a 12-year-old student while driving him to a soccer game. Despite the student immediately reporting this to his mother (who worked at the school), administrators allegedly swept it under the rug. Afterward, Wessel began calling the boy a "snitch" in front of classmates – clear evidence that school principal Bruce Peters had spoken to Wessel about the allegations without taking any meaningful action.
Throughout 2022, concerned parents documented multiple disturbing incidents: female students sitting on Wessel's lap during technology class, uncomfortable interactions in hallways, and other boundary violations. Each time, Peters and the school board dismissed these reports as "harmful hearsay and gossip," gaslighting parents who were desperately trying to protect their children.
What makes this case particularly infuriating is the revelation of an "unwritten rule" within Mooresville schools that mandated staff report abuse concerns to administrators rather than directly to authorities as required by law. This created a filter where school officials could decide what warranted reporting – potentially violating mandatory reporting laws and endangering countless children.
When Wessel was finally terminated in December 2024 after texting a 13-year-old student, Peters sent an email to the entire school community praising him as "a wonderful employee" and bizarrely stating, "these types of things happen, and I speak from experience." After charges were filed in May 2025, Wessel went on the run for months before being arrested in August after barricading himself in an Indianapolis home.
As we await Wessel's November hearing, this case serves as a stark reminder of what happens when institutions prioritize their reputation over children's safety. If you've witnessed or experienced abuse, remember: you don't have to report to school administrators first – go directly to police or child protective services. Your voice matters, and speaking up could prevent others from suffering the same fate.

Welcome back everybody to 69 South. Everyone. I'm Chop, your host, and with me always is my beautiful co-host, julie. How are you doing today?
Speaker 1:I'm sad today.
Speaker 2:I'm sad too today. I'm happy for one reason though we finally got the electric fixed in our studio. It was run underground and we would have literally moved the studio, but like every step of the way I thought I had it fixed, until we just said fuck it and dug up a whole new thing and all new lines. So we got it fixed. But today is a sad day. Man. Charlie Kirk was assassinated today by some piece of shit, coward ass dude.
Speaker 2:If you don't know who Charlie Kirk is, you must be living under a rock. He's a 31-year-old dude who was very involved in politics. Today was one of the best debaters that I've ever seen.
Speaker 1:Conservative powerhouse.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he was just an awesome, good-hearted Christian dude and if you don't like that then I don't know what to tell you. But, yeah, pissed off and a little bit sad about it today, everyone. So rest in peace. Charlie man, I know you're looking down on us, thanking us for what we're doing, like we thanked you for what you did every day. Anyway, today we're diving into a deeply disturbing story that's been shaking up a small town, indiana community. We're talking about Jacob Wessel, a 45-year-old former robotics teacher at Mooresville Christian Academy, or MCA for short.
Speaker 2:Wessel was arrested on August 14, 2025, in Indianapolis and is now sitting in a Morgan County II controlled substance and that's Adderall for another Level V felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor tied to supplying marijuana. These stem from incidents between September and December 2024, where he allegedly sent creepy text messages to a 13-year-old female student, which we covered in our first episode covering Wessel called Text Messages in Adderall the Anatomy of a Predator. Court docs paint a picture of grooming and boundary smashing that no one should ever see in a school. But Julie, this didn't come out of anywhere. There was a 2021 incident where he allegedly showed pornography to a 12 or 13 year old boy in the school Crickets.
Speaker 2:Wessel got fired in December of 2024 after breaking a no texting students rule from earlier complaints. But the head of school, bruce Peters, downplayed it all in an email to parents, calling the text not sexual in nature and hyping Wessel's amazing impact on kids. Yeah, amazing, peters himself got the boot right in the middle of this mess. It's a story of red flags ignored, parents dismissed and a system that failed kids big time. Today we're unpacking the timeline, reading from police reports and emails and calling out how this could have been stopped years earlier, plus some new developments while he was on the run.
Speaker 1:That's right. It's infuriating how warnings were waved away like they were nothing. Before we get into the 2025 charges that finally brought this to light. Back when our first episode on the text messages in Adderall dropped, there were signs waving in front of the school board and Bruce Peters as early as 2021 and 2022. Let's start with that buried 2021 incident from a detective's report dated May 27, 2025. It resurfaced during the first investigation, showing just how long this predator was operating unchecked.
Speaker 2:The detectives met with both parent and student in the interview room and advised both of them that he intended to interview each party separately, and both parent and student agreed to this. He first interviewed the student and here is a summary of the entire interview. He advised that he knows Wessel through Mooresville Christian Academy and that Wessel was his soccer coach for MCA and that he played soccer for the MCA team. He describes Wessel as lazy and that he would say odd things in his classroom. A soccer coach that was lazy. That's weird.
Speaker 1:He stated that Wessel would often cuss in his classroom saying shit and fuck multiple times, and that Wessel would seem to favor the girls at soccer practices. Wessel would make the boys run laps and not make the girls do the same. Instead, he would just talk to them. Now they're in a Christian school and he's throwing around words like that.
Speaker 2:Shit and fuck in front of 12, 13, 14-year-old kids. You know what that means. He's trying to be cool, trying to fit in Groom him. Grooming yep. The detective inquired about the incident involving Wesessel that was discussed between parent and student, and he stated the one where he showed me porn. The student advised that he would have been 12 or 13 when the incident occurred and that it was maybe far away. The student's mother states that she couldn't drive well.
Speaker 1:So she told Wessel that her child couldn't attend the soccer game. Wessel offered to drive him to the game, as he was supposed to be taking his children to the game as well. The student stated that Wessel dropped all of his children off at home, so it was just him and Wessel in the vehicle.
Speaker 2:So this dude offered to take one of the soccer kids to the game because his mom couldn't give him a ride or whatever Poor thing. I bet she was sad and happy. Oh, this coach is cool man. He's going to take my kid to the soccer game. Man, I ain't got to worry about it. What a blessing and this dude showing his kid.
Speaker 2:Her son porn yeah porn in the freaking car after he drops his kids off. See, that's some weird shit right there. I would have took the other kid home and then took my kids home with me. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:Anyway, no, the reason he dropped his kids off first he was supposed to take his kids to the soccer game with is what the parent thought.
Speaker 2:Oh, but he dropped his children off and him and the student proceeded on their way to this game in the car. So he kind of used his kids as a decoy Look, my kids are going with me. So he didn't even take his kids to the game. That's even fucking weirder.
Speaker 1:I know.
Speaker 2:The student states that he was in the back seat and Wessel was driving with his knee. Wessel displayed his phone screen to him and told him to look at this, and that Wessel called it quote art. Wessel then showed him a picture of a girl dressed as a wolf and further explains that the girl was wearing wolf ears and a wolf nose and that she was totally naked.
Speaker 1:The student states that the girl's boobs and underneath were totally visible. I asked him if he meant her vagina and he stated yeah. Wessel was also showing him cartoon, anime pornography as well as real people. The student clarifies that the girl in the wolf ears was a nude cartoon, but Wessel also showed him a human nude girl that had cat ears on.
Speaker 2:That's like furry point or something. He advises that the human girl was naked and that her boobs and vagina were visible. He also described the human girl as a pasty white girl and that Wessel was scrolling his phone for the duration of the ride in the car and would show images to him throughout the whole trip.
Speaker 1:So he was on his phone, driving with his knees scrolling, watching porn while he's taking a kid to a soccer game.
Speaker 2:Safety first.
Speaker 1:Isn't texting and driving just as bad as drinking and driving?
Speaker 2:Oh, it's worse. I think it's worse. I mean I've seen people have a couple beers and be able to drive good but I can't even fucking text without hitting a tree.
Speaker 1:The students stated that they departed for the soccer game from MCA in Morgan County and that they returned to MCA after the soccer game. They played the Knights that game, but he doesn't remember the name of the school and believed it happened sometime around October.
Speaker 2:This student advised that he immediately told his mother, the parent of the student, and that she reported it to an employee and they informed her they had to tell Bruce Peters, the school principal, the next day. They believed that nothing was ever done and that it was swept under the rug. The student also advised that after a parent reporting the allegations to Bruce Peters, wessel began to call him a snitch in front of his classmates. Wow, proof that Peters spoke to Wessel began to call him a snitch in front of his classmates. Wow, proof that Peter spoke to Wessel. That kind of behavior can devastate a student, creating a hostile environment and a lasting emotional harm. Calling him a snitch.
Speaker 1:Well, see, you know, Wessel ain't going to come out and say why this kid is calling him a snitch, why this kid is calling him a snitch. But if Wessel's calling this child a snitch in front of other students, in front of the class, they're obviously going to be wondering why. And you know the student knows why. So you know that when they told Peters, Peters ran back to Wessel.
Speaker 2:Yes, hey, don't say nothing. No more about it. Just leave it at that. We'll sweep it under the rug.
Speaker 1:But he couldn't keep his mouth shut, so he had to let that kid know oh look, these people are on my team. Yeah, snitch you think they got your back. No, they got my back.
Speaker 2:What a bitch-ass dude man Like he was flexing like you, little snitch, they didn't do shit to me, ha-ha. Flexing like you, little snitch, they didn't do shit to me, ha, ha.
Speaker 1:That's exactly what it was Fuck him and you know that probably intimidated the child and made him fearful, you know.
Speaker 2:And they wonder why kids don't want to say shit anymore because of shit like this right here. You can't trust a principal. You can't trust I mean damn.
Speaker 1:This student stated that he was never called into the office by Bruce Peters to talk about the allegations. The detective then interviewed the parent and here's the summary of that interview. The parent states that she and Wessel started working at MCA at the same time, in August of 2021. She advised that her child played soccer and Wessel was the coach. So she works at the Christian Academy. This parent does.
Speaker 2:I mean, damn that sucks. It makes you wonder if, like, maybe her job was threatened, like, let's keep it all hush-hush, carl Wessel, in, look, don't be showing your little bullshit to kids, don't be texting kids or whatever all that stuff. And maybe I wonder if I'm just wondering, just speculate.
Speaker 1:Probably they went and told Peters and Peters was like I'll handle it, I'll take care of it, and they felt confident in that, so that they trusted him, that he was going to handle it and that he was going to take care of it. So she just assumed, you know it's going to get taken care of. I might not know the consequences or repercussions of his actions, but Bruce Peters is going to take care of this.
Speaker 2:She trusted him, man. So the student approached the parent and told her about a soccer game that she told him he couldn't go because she couldn't take him. Wessel overheard student and parent talking and that's when he offered to take him to the soccer game and parent talking and that's when he offered to take him to the soccer game. The parent stated that she thought that it would be okay since Wessel was a teacher at the school. Of course you would think that Absolutely.
Speaker 1:I mean I would think that, well, not anymore. Not with everything I've learned in the past year. I don't care if you're a lawyer, a teacher, a doctor. If I don't know you, my kid ain't going with you, sorry.
Speaker 2:Hell no, especially after Brittany Fortenberry's shit. You would have thought she was the soccer mom of the year if you didn't know our episodes and the truth. I mean, geez, y'all don't trust a motherfucker like that with my kids.
Speaker 1:So when the detective is talking to the parent. In her interview she stated that when her child returned from the game, he walked in the door and told her hey, mom Wessel showed me some porn. As you could imagine, she was pissed off, livid, and that next day she reported the incident to a teacher that she assisted in the school. And that's when the teacher told them that they needed to tell Bruce Peters.
Speaker 2:I probably told Bruce Peters to meet me on the soccer field. I wanted him to show me some soccer moves, not to beat his ass for showing my kid porn.
Speaker 1:You mean Wessel?
Speaker 2:Yeah, Shit, actually I meant Wessel and Peters.
Speaker 1:Yes, because we know that they were both aware of this behavior.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's a harrowing tale, julie, and it's shocking that it took from August 14, 2025, for Wessel to be arrested, after the second set of charges were filed on July 16, 2025. He'd been on the run for months and the school's inaction is infuriating. Was this the dude that was held up in the house in Indianapolis?
Speaker 1:Yeah, we talk about that later.
Speaker 2:Okay, my bad, but here are some more red flags waved by parents that were ignored. Let's look at an email from a concerned parent, but it ties back to 2022 email thread between concerned parents and MCA leadership. Concerned parents and MCA leadership Parents were sounding alarms about Wessel's creepy vibes, but the school shut them down hard, calling it hearsay and gossip. To bring this alive, we'll do a reading. Julie, you take the school's deflections from Bruce Peters and the school board and I'll handle the parents' escalating concerns.
Speaker 1:Got it and remember these emails are from September 2022, years before the arrest. The parents were documenting everything after a board meeting, but MCA twisted it all to protect their guy.
Speaker 2:Dear Mr Wright. Upon seeking legal counsel, we're sending this email to document concerns shared in our recent board meeting on September 27, 2022. After more thought and prayer, we feel the numerous concerns we've raised regarding Mr Wessel have been inadequately addressed. We also have concerns that our children continue to have regular contact with Mr Wessel as the only adult in the classroom, despite being led to believe efforts have been made to eliminate independent supervision of children. In November of 2021, parents communicated that their children reported that Mr Wessel was allegedly showing inappropriate videos in class, allowing children to watch inappropriate videos in the classroom and using bad language.
Speaker 1:This alleged incident was investigated and was not found to be as inappropriate as the allegation above infers. Mr Wessel received coaching on proper classroom management and that was the response to that allegation from Peters and the school board.
Speaker 2:Hmm, I'd have been shitty Back to it. This is the parent's position. In April 2022, a parent witnessed an inappropriate interaction with Mr Wessel and a female child in the hallway. The parent reported that the child was clearly uncomfortable with this interaction.
Speaker 1:The parent reported that the child was clearly uncomfortable with this interaction. An MCA in Peter's response was this alleged incident was investigated. Video evidence exists and clearly refutes this allegation. Both the video evidence and a follow-up discussion with the student involved in this interaction confirmed that Mr Wessel was simply reminding the student of MCA's cell phone policy for students.
Speaker 2:Then the parent said in April of 2022, a student reported to their parent that they had witnessed a female classmate sitting on Mr Wessel's lap during technology class. The parent then made a report to Mr Peters.
Speaker 1:And Mr Peters. His response was this alleged incident was investigated. None of the female students that were allegedly involved in this allegation state that this happened. Dcs would agree with this statement. State that this happened, dcs would agree with this statement. So right there, he's inferring that he called DCS to come and investigate bullshit.
Speaker 2:He never called DCS. He said, would they would.
Speaker 1:Because his word playing is what he's doing His word playing.
Speaker 2:And a 13-year-old girl at this time sitting on a dude's lap in technology class. What was he doing? Trying to teach her how to type. I mean, come on, that's fucking weird. Then, in September of 2022, a female child reported to a parent she carpools with that two of her female friends told her that they allegedly sat on Mr Wessel's lap too.
Speaker 1:So that's another allegation of a child sitting on his lap from different parties.
Speaker 2:I wonder if DCS would not agree with that either Would?
Speaker 1:Well, here was MCA and Peters's response to this allegation. Mca administration and board. This appears to be a continuation of harmful hearsay and gossip stemming from the original allegation. Unfortunately, this behavior appears to be reinforced by adults whose words and actions are creating unfounded fear amongst some of our parents. This was investigated by MCA with a follow-up review by the Indiana Department of Child Services, who has also not found any evidence to support this allegation. Yeah, they didn't find no evidence because you didn't call them, You'll lie.
Speaker 2:All these kids ain't lying man. Come on no-transcript job to play detective. That's for the police and DCS. And here's the kicker. A concerned parent laid out all these allegations in one email with the school's responses attached, and here's another email from the parent's position. Since the board meeting in September, additional information has come to light that has elevated our concerns. Mr Wessel has allegedly shared pornographic, sexually explicit, depraved videos with own members, minor members of his family, who subsequently shared those videos as amusing antidotes with a peer's parents while on vacation. This is alleged incident was investigated. Mr Wright and Mr Peters called the parent who allegedly shared this information.
Speaker 1:Now this is MCA and Peters' response to that allegation. During this discussion the parents stated that the details alleged above are not an accurate account of what occurred. They stated that two videos were briefly referenced in a conversation and their response was to shut down the discussion before it could progress. They assumed the videos being referenced might be pornographic in nature. So the allegation that Mr Wessel's minor family member shared the videos described above in the manner described above has not been backed up by the adults in attendance when the incident allegedly occurred.
Speaker 2:This response reeks of twisting words and gaslighting.
Speaker 2:We can infer the kid was shown these videos because he's talking about it with adults, so much so that they know it's wrong and shut it down quickly, as they should have, redirecting the conversation, basically admitting, yeah, he was going to show them, but the adult stopped it.
Speaker 2:And then, furthermore, mr Wessel's family member did not state that Wessel shares pornographic or explicit videos with him, and there is no evidence available to support this claim. Of course, this kid is not going to rat out his family member when he could be called a snitch too, probably when he could lose his job and he was probably under some intimidation or fear tactics to be kept quiet. Peters goes on further to state that no evidence has been found to support this malice allegation, which appears to be an attempt to not only smear the MCA staff member, but also his family member and an MCA student. So here we yet again have Bruce Peters gaslighting the concerned parents and making them out to be the bad ones, claiming their salacious allegations. Damn, I never heard that shit before my bad, harm Wessel and the student.
Speaker 2:What do you think's really going on here? I mean, I would think maybe if it was one allegation maybe it's hard for me to say too maybe one and a half allegations. I mean, maybe Mr Peters was like trying to save face. I mean, I'm just saying, though maybe he would try to save face for the school Hush, hush, it's a Christian school. I mean, it's probably that's a private school. I'm just saying, if there was only one or one and a half allegations maybe, but all these allegations he's swept under the rug.
Speaker 1:There's something more. I'm getting a deeper, a deeper. There's something I feel like there's something deeper going on.
Speaker 2:I bet these dudes are watching porn together.
Speaker 1:Oh my God. Now the concerned parent wrapped it up like this. We care deeply about the future of this school and we wish to continue to partner with MCA in our children's education. We sincerely hope that these concerns will be reviewed and this situation will be revisited. We look forward to your response. So they did everything necessary. They were documenting everything.
Speaker 2:And this ain't just a regular school, man. People are paying big money for their kids to go to this school.
Speaker 1:I mean yeah, it's a school and a church.
Speaker 2:It's a private school.
Speaker 1:All in one, and I could only imagine what that tuition is costing each month for each student. And then some parents have several students that attend there.
Speaker 2:Right and that tuition is paying these people. That's digging them around's salary. Here's Bruce Peters and MCA's final response. Dear parents, the MCA school board and Mr Peters welcome constructive input from all MCA families. Parental involvement in all aspects of their children's time at MCA is encouraged. In regards to the content of this letter, we take all of these accusations seriously. As parents of MCA students ourselves, we are all here to ensure that MCA is a safe environment for our students that offers them opportunities to excel in academics and families.
Speaker 1:Talk about a load of shit there.
Speaker 2:But I wonder how Bruce Peters would feel. He said his kids or some of the people's kids. I wonder how they'd have felt if their little kid was sitting on dude's lap watching porn in a car and shit. You think Bruce Peters would be like, hey, bro, don't be doing that shit no more, we won't talk about it.
Speaker 1:Well, I'd hope, as a grown man and if that's his daughter sitting on his lap, inappropriate like that, he would have busted his ass. Oh man shit pisses me off. So fast forward to December 20th of 2024. Bruce Peters sends this email to the whole MCA community, still minimizing everything.
Speaker 2:Let's read from that I want to update you on Jake, and he says Jake, not Mr Wessel, which is kind of weird. Jake was a wonderful employee who worked really hard to do a great job. Over the years we have had several accusations about some inappropriate comments, slash behaviors. After investigations of all of these, everything was hearsay and we could not find anything or anyone who saw or participated in any accusation as men. These types of things happen and I speak from experience. Huh, what do you mean? You speak from experience.
Speaker 1:What do you mean? These types of things happen, and I speak from experience. Huh, what do you mean? You speak from experience? What do you mean? These types of things happen. People don't just walk around, I mean little kids just don't walk around, accusing grown men who are their school teachers of watching porn with them sitting on their lap.
Speaker 2:What do?
Speaker 1:you mean by?
Speaker 2:speaking from experience. Somebody accused him of showing their kid porn or having little girls sit on his lap. That didn't have nothing to do with him.
Speaker 1:That's weird wording.
Speaker 2:That is very weird wording I speak from experience.
Speaker 1:What's that experience?
Speaker 2:Bruce.
Speaker 1:I don't know you can hit us up on. You know how to get a hug. Yeah, let us know, bro, Give us your side of the story.
Speaker 2:If us know, bro, give us your side of the story. If I had your number, I'd call your ass up like I did, ryan. We have to be extra careful with how we interact with students. With all of these accusations, jake had more restrictions on him and he violated this by texting a young girl. Her mom wanted Jake's help as a father figure, but this is a violation of our agreement. Nothing criminal here. So I needed to let you know. Rumors will fly. So you have the information Jake is no longer employed.
Speaker 1:You see how he wanted to throw that on the mom. Oh, the mom wanted her child to have a father figure Bullshit, that's just him gaslighting. He's probably a narcissist too, Probably man, they both are.
Speaker 2:They're some fucking weirdos.
Speaker 1:This email from December 2024 shows how the school minimized concerns long before the 2025 charges hit. The pattern of ignored warnings is staggering. So the first charges in May of 2025 were filed, and then additional charges on July 16th and the arrest on August 14th. For anything to stick For parents out there if your child faces harm at school, do not wait. You go and you file a police report immediately or contact the Department of Child Services right away. That's advice too many didn't know that they had at first. You don't have to go to the school first and report this shit. Hell with that, because it seems like schools in Mooresville got their own little system of reporting up this chain of command that ends at the administration. So if you're a parent, you need to report this shit to the police yourself.
Speaker 2:Hell yeah, and if you're in Morgan County, call Patrick Williams, he'll definitely investigate it.
Speaker 1:Now, also speaking of loopholes, we got a tip from a former high-level employee in the Mooresville School administration, shared anonymously of course, and this is what they said and I quote I wanted to provide some additional insight into the mooresville school issue, but they're talking about the issues going on with north madison elementary school, but but it still goes in line even with reporting at mca. So I just want say this. But back to exactly what she said, I didn't want to post it publicly, as I previously worked in Mooresville schools in a specific role that required a high level of confidentiality. Explain somewhat why other teachers or staff outside of school and district administrators did not report the information about the teacher in question.
Speaker 1:At North Madison State-mandated reporter laws require the person who is given information about abuse or neglect be the person who makes the report directly to DCS.
Speaker 1:However, mooresville School's upper admin have had a long-standing, unwritten rule that any information related to possible abuse or neglect of a student is to first be reported to the school administration being the principal or the assistant principal, administration being the principal or the assistant principal, and then the administration determines what should be reported to DCS or what shouldn't, by all means of technicality.
Speaker 1:This is not a legal way of reporting. The person who has the direct information or witnesses the abuse is to be the sole person who reports it to DCS, and that is to happen immediately. Working in Mooresville schools in the past, I found this culture and rule to be extremely troublesome and concerning. There were numerous instances where I had received information regarding abuse and or neglect that was filtered through administration first and was informed to not report these instances. I always did report the information, regardless of what they said, and at times when this would happen, the administration would become upset with me. It's up to you what you do with this information, but if you choose with this information, but if you choose to share it, it has to be shared anonymously.
Speaker 2:That's a weird-ass unwritten rule for a school system.
Speaker 1:And it's against the law.
Speaker 2:I mean an unwritten rule is like not calling the building inspector on your neighbor or, you know, telling your buddy's old lady that you stopped and had a beer at a bar, maybe one time or something. You know what I mean. That's an unwritten rule. Not don't fucking tell anybody that this kid was abused. I mean that's insane.
Speaker 1:So if they were pulling this shit at North Madison, was it the same shady loophole at MCA? We've reached out to MCA asking if they wanted to chat about positive changes like firing Peters or beefing up safety protocols to protect the kids, but unfortunately no response. So let's pray they've got their act together now. And if you've been a victim or witness to any of Wessel's actions or anyone else we've covered on 69 South or beyond, please come forward, share your info so we can hold these perpetrators accountable. Your voice matters.
Speaker 2:And we've had a couple of people reach out to a couple of people that really trust us and ask them if we can be trusted. Let me tell every listener and we mean this if you hit us up, every listener, and we mean this if you hit us up, nobody sees these messages. We never give our sources out. We would rather you know everybody be safe and you know the truth come out. We're not going to give up anything, we're not going to say anything. So trust me, you can trust us. But let's get to some good shit.
Speaker 2:Let's talk about what happened while Wessel was on the run. On May 30th 2025, he filed this pro se motion meaning he did it himself, without a lawyer to quash the warrant and set an initial hearing. I want to read it on the podcast, but Julie feel free to interrupt me as we go. Here's the document In the Morgan County Superior Court, judge Brian H Williams, state of Indiana v Jacob W Wessel, case no 55-D02-2505-F5, pro se motion to quash warrant and request for initial hearing. Comes now the defendant, jacob W Wessel, appearing pro se without an attorney, hold up now Chop filed in this case and wishes to appear voluntarily before the court.
Speaker 1:Hold up now, Chop. So he's admitting that he knows about the charges and the warrant, but he just wants to waltz on his terms. That's bold for a guy who's dodging the law.
Speaker 2:That is bold. I want to ask the question, though, you know how, like if me and a dude on the street and we're beefing and we got shit going on, we just want to squash that shit you think that's where the word squash came from, because in the court papers it's quash. You think they just added an S to it. I don't know. I mean he wants to quash shit, but in that street I'm trying to squash some shit. You know what I mean? Yeah, I don't know, I'm trying to squash some shit. You know what I mean. I don't know, I'm goofy, but I just thought about that. So back to the letter. The defendant has not been arrested or taken into custody and wishes to resolve the outstanding warrant without incident. The defendant does not have legal counsel at this time and is actively seeking an attorney. The defendant may be unable to afford private counsel and intends to request appointment of a public defender at his initial hearing.
Speaker 1:Oh, please. He's been on the run now and he's playing the broke card. This guy's got some nerve asking for a public defender after hiding out for so long.
Speaker 2:Then he goes on. The defendant respectfully requests the court's consideration in scheduling an initial hearing and releasing the defendant on their own recognizances or with a reasonable bond condition, rather than requiring an arrest to initiate proceedings. The defendant has strong ties to the community, is not a flight risk and intends to comply with all future court dates and conditions. To comply with all future court dates and conditions, wherefore the defendant respectfully requests that this court quash that kills me or recall the existing warrant. Schedule an initial hearing at the court's convenience C, permit the defendant to appear voluntarily and apply for a court-appointed counsel.
Speaker 1:Are you kidding me? It's not a flight risk, but dude's on the run from a warrant and you have been for over a month or so. Whenever you write this, he thinks the court's just going to let him off the hook because he says he's not a flight risk. I mean that's like an oxymoron. Hey, I'm on the run but I'm no flight risk here. What a dumbass.
Speaker 2:No, let me read this letter for you in my words. Okay, hey judge, can you please not put me in jail, Because they know I've been messing with kids and they're going to beat my ass when they put me in there. Plus, 69 South made a podcast about me. I'm really fucked. If I go into jail now, Please just let me into court and get out of this shit, and then I'll come back, I promise.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:That's what he meant.
Speaker 1:That's exactly what he meant and of course, they denied this motion. It's completely laughable.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they denied it, but here's where it gets wild. On August 14th 2025, Jacob Wessel was finally arrested at a home in Marin County where he had barricaded himself inside. Finally arrested at a home in Marin County where he had barricaded himself inside. He is currently being held without bond until his next hearing in November. But get this. On September 8th, he sent a letter to the court requesting a bond reduction. I think he's at least going to sit in there until November, though Barricading himself doesn't scream trustworthy to a judge. And you know what, though? If the dude would have turned himself in when he had a warrant, they probably would have put him on pretrial release, just saying.
Speaker 1:Well, you know, whenever he did send that motion in to quash that stuff, I read in the status updates of where the judge put the order out and he basically said no, I'm denying what you want, but you can turn yourself in and it's going to cost you like $1,200, I think, to a bondsman and $600 to the jail for you to get out.
Speaker 2:But since his little bitch ass barricaded himself up, in Naptown and caught new charges and caught new charges, then he ain't got no warrant, he should have just fucking did the right thing to begin with.
Speaker 1:He had all kinds of warrants.
Speaker 2:Well, he ain't got no warrants now, but I meant bond baby.
Speaker 1:Right, so I mean barricading him and himself inside his house. He had been doing that for months. Because I tell you this, I have been posting about him being on the run for months and the picture that we got of him, of what he looked like at the time that these charges were filed, was completely different from his appearance when they arrested him. He's like eight shades lighter, like he was kind of tan, so you could tell he'd been barricading himself inside the house for months.
Speaker 2:Up in Indianapolis too. Where was that at anyway?
Speaker 1:Off High School Road in Indianapolis is where they got him.
Speaker 2:Oh, he was in a little sissy-ass neighborhood on the west side, then Shit. I thought he'd be up there at 10th and Rule. He too, scared for that shit, though.
Speaker 1:Well, let's hope justice sticks this time, and that's our update on the things Jacob Wessel has done. In his July 16, 2025 case, he was charged with dissemination of matter harmful to his child, and so he has that, plus his previous charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, giving her Adderall, sexually seducing her.
Speaker 2:Dude was hiding. Good, because one of our favorite fans, one of our best fans and our investigator I'm not going to say her name because she's investigating- she begged it.
Speaker 1:She said he's right here. She said I guarantee it, she sure did.
Speaker 2:You know who we're talking about. Yeah, we don't want to say her name, though, because you investigate she. You know who we're talking about. Yeah, we don't want to say your name, though, because you investigate. She was on this dude's ass.
Speaker 1:She messaged me every day, every day for three months. She messaged and she said he's right here. I know he's right there and sure shit, I'm telling you they got him right there.
Speaker 2:I'd hate to have her looking for my ass if I was in trouble Boy. I just soon turned myself in a trouble boy. I just didn't turn myself in. She's an investigator.
Speaker 1:I mean down to the words every person uses. She could be an FBI profiler, I think.
Speaker 2:You know who we're talking about.
Speaker 1:But anyway, that's our show today, so stay vigilant and protect these kids out here, and we'll catch you next time on 69 South.
